Our Team

Dr. Kevin Schwandt graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2016 after studying biology, chemistry and religion at Concordia College in his hometown of Moorhead, Minnesota.

After setting up home in Denver, Dr. Kevin completed several courses in implant dentistry including a surgical training course with the Star Dental Institute in Colorado Springs. Replacing failing or missing teeth using implants has quickly become his most passionate area of expertise. Dr. Kevin aspires to provide a complex and wide variety of general dentistry services in hopes of providing satisfying care, transformational results and a more enjoyable experience for his patients.

Growing up in a family of skiers, living amongst the Rocky Mountains has always been a childhood dream of Kevin’s. In addition to skiing, he loves hiking, trail running, camping, biking and enjoying time in parks. Kevin also enjoys live music, cooking, reading and traveling.

Dr. Kessler graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.S. in Human Physiology and Psychology and from there realized his calling in the field of dentistry. Dr. Kessler attended the University of Southern California for his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Post graduation he completed a residency in Advanced General Dentistry in Grand Junction where additional training in all fields of dentistry was achieved; many of which included specialties such as implant therapy and extractions. Dr. Kessler has also contributed his expertise through volunteer work with AYUDA International Clinics in Mexico, Fiji, and Thailand.

Dr. Kessler became part of the Reclaim Dentistry team in 2025, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome a doctor who shares our commitment to whole-body health and aligns perfectly with our core values. Dr. Kessler is passionate about healthcare, nutrition and the oral-systemic connection between oral health and overall health. His goal is to help patients gain more knowledge and understand how to prevent oral and systemic diseases through making healthier lifestyle choices.

Dr. Kessler was born and raised in Chicago, but now makes Colorado his home and enjoys the grand outdoors in true Colorado fashion. Dr. Kessler spends his free time with his wife and three children hiking, biking, skiing, camping, and exploring the outdoors and also enjoys escaping to the coast for time away with his family.

Lauren joined Reclaim Integrative Dentistry & Implant Center as a full-time Registered Dental Hygienist in November 2024. Originally from St. Louis, she began her academic journey studying business at Olivet Nazarene University in Chicago before discovering her passion for dental hygiene. She earned her credentials from the Community College of Denver and has been practicing as an RDH for over four years now.

Lauren’s approach to patient care is holistic and personalized. She is known for her calming presence and her ability to listen to her patients’ primary health concerns. She also offers nutrition advice and is certified in laser dentistry, further enhancing her ability to deliver advanced treatments and comprehensive care.

Outside of work, she enjoys hiking—having climbed several of Colorado’s 14ers—along with skiing and reading. Lauren is deeply committed to community service and looks forward to participating in a dental mission trip to Guatemala with Global Dental Relief in June 2025.

Marie Romero is a Colorado native and EDDA-trained Dental Assistant with over twenty-three years of dedicated practice in the dental industry. She obtained her certification from Pima Medical Institute Denver in 2002 and has gained extensive experience in a variety of disciplines with a particular focus in general and cosmetic dentistry, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. Marie has been an integral part of Reclaim Integrative Dentistry & Implant Center since its inception, providing unwavering support to Dr. Kevin Schwandt and his esteemed team. She continues to expand her abilities and contributions, recently trained in phlebotomy and IV insertion, in hopes of helping Reclaim offer better holistic and biological care to our surgical patients.

Marie is the proud mother of three sons and a devoted grandmother to her granddaughter. Beyond her thriving dental career, Marie indulges her passions for motorcycling through the Rocky Mountains, participating in a competitive bowling league, and honing her skills in billiards during her leisure time.

Amber is a Colorado native who began her career in dentistry shortly after graduating from high school. She attended the Rocky Mountain Dental Assistant Institute and has now been working in the dental field for over 26 years. Prior to joining the Reclaim team in January of 2026, Amber spent eight years at Denali Dental, where she gained extensive clinical experience and developed a strong passion for patient care. As a Registered Dental Assistant and EDDA, she is trained in nitrous oxide and dental radiograph. We are thrilled to have her expertise in restorative and surgical support available to benefit our patients. 

Outside of the office, Amber enjoys spending quality time with her family and her two dogs. She also loves bowling and appreciates any opportunity to relax and have fun with the people closest to her.

Kaylee, another Minnesota native, earned her dental assisting degree, continuing her education in Operations Management from Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM), and graduating with her bachelor’s at nineteen. This go-getter knew she wanted to be in the dental field at the age of twelve since having loved her braces. Her career began as a dental assistant where she gained diverse experience in orthodontics and pediatric dentistry. Throughout the last decade, she has enjoyed the new challenges in cross-training in various roles of the office whether it was working in any clinical position, training new assistants, helping at the front desk, managing the social media accounts, or even giving educational presentations at local preschools. In November 2024, Kaylee brought her expertise and enthusiasm to the Reclaim team. 

Since relocating to Colorado in June 2024, Kaylee has embraced an active outdoor lifestyle enjoying snowboarding, backcountry skiing, rock climbing and hiking. She has already climbed four of Colorado’s iconic 14’ers. When not adventuring, Kaylee loves spending time with her wonderful husband, sweet kitten, Kota, and their rescue pitbull, Nessie.

After graduating from Kent State University in Ohio with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Conflict Management, Haleigh Shammo embarked on a career primarily focused on healthcare before discovering her passion for holistic dentistry. Joining our team in December 2023, she brings over five years of experience in patient support and scheduling. With a background of over three years as a Patient Access Representative specializing in working with children with disabilities, Haleigh has developed the skills necessary to assist patients of all ages and abilities, making her a valuable asset to our practice.

Having relocated to Colorado in 2021 with her spouse and furry companion, Haleigh enjoys exploring the great outdoors through hiking and paddleboarding. When she’s not adventuring, you can find her immersed in a good book or planning her next travel escapade.

Originally from Eugene, Oregon, Alex came to Colorado to attend the University of Colorado Boulder, double majoring in Psychology and Economics with a minor in Financial Analytics. After graduation, he joined the Peace Corps in Tanzania, teaching math and science, learning Swahili, and living at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. He also supported community permagardening projects and explored local culture before being evacuated in March 2020 due to the pandemic.

Back in the U.S., Alex explored several career paths before joining Reclaim in July 2025. With parents who are physicians and prior experience at Colorado Heart and Vascular, he brings both healthcare insight and administrative expertise. We’re excited to welcome his positive attitude, and administrative skills and knowledge—ask him about his volunteer adventures next time you visit!

Brittany received her Marketing and International Business Degree from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. After being in the healthcare field for the majority of her career, from event coordination for global medical coding oragnizations to working as a marketing contractor for digital healthcare startups, she discovered her love for holistic dentistry. She joined the Reclaim family in October of 2023 driven by the desire to amplify the transformative impact of the team’s endeavors. With over a decade of marketing experience, Brittany brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge to our team.

As a Colorado native, Brittany is deeply connected to her native state. She spends the majority of her leisure time camping or hiking in the mountains, often accompanied by her beloved canine companion. Moreover, her passion for travel empowers her to travel the globe, in over 25 countries.
